Set amid broad paddy fields, the site sits as a natural part of the farmed landscape. Seasonal water movement across the land required the ground to be raised above road level. This higher plinth resolved drainage concerns while opening the home to wider views of the surrounding fields.
The open plan allows airflow from all sides, improving everyday comfort and strengthening the home’s connection to nature. Carefully planned levels and spatial buffers balance openness with privacy, creating a home that feels rooted in the landscape while remaining calm, secure, and deeply livable.
